  The University of Sydney (USYD), also known as Sydney University,[5] or informally Sydney Uni, is a public research university located in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 1850, it is the oldest university in Australia and is one of the country's six sandstone universities. It was one of the first universities in the world to admit students solely on academic merit, and opened their doors to women on the same basis as men.[6] The university comprises eight academic faculties and university schools, through which it offers bachelor, master and doctoral degrees.

  The moment you step into this place, you get the sense and feels of it being an innovative place.
  A place with a stunning main walkway with different school buildings either side of it
  The campus is divided into lower and upper campus and access to all parts of the campus is fairly easy.
  A very reputed college in Australia, with it being 6th in the Group of Eight Universities in Australia.
  Great connectivity to the city , with light rails available at both ends of the campus and frequent buses all around.
  Friendly people, friendly staff, overall a friendly vibe.
  A tad bit heavy on your pockets, but the effects of that heavy cost models are seen in the infrastructure, the facilities and the level of teaching.
  Both coursework and research is highly recommended
  The only thing off according to me might be the Trimesters that have been started.
  This adds unnecessary load and tensions on the students.
  
  Overall A really good university.

  after 17 years went back to my uni, it is still gigantic as it is. It was an emotional attached to go back, seeing my name engraved on the board of first class honor civil engineering. uni still upkeep in good and prefect shape

  Spent 3.5 years for my doctoral degree here. The university offers a really conducive environment for studying and researching. There are many restaurants nearby to hang out with your friends, most notably around Anzac Parade. I really love how quick and helpful the staff in this university is in resolving problems encountered by the students. This is undoubtedly the best studying experience I have had in my entire life.

  Option to get a degree from one of the best universities in Australia and at the same time world class military training. If you're seriously into it start the process from Year 11
